Park Veterinary Hospital was incoporated in 1983 and began life as a satellite clinic in sleepy, southern Durham. In 1985 the hospital moved to the clinic that looked like a Williamsburg-style house on Highway 54. Dr. McHugh and two staff members looked after the area's companion animals. As south Durham/east Chapel Hill has grown, so has the hospital, which is located in the triangle formed by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University and the Research Triangle Park area. In 1999 we completed an ambitious addition/renovation that doubled the size of our facility and enabled us to offer additional services such as endoscopy and ultrasonography. Presently, 8 doctors and about two dozen staff members serve our clients and friends.
Cat Condos

These comfy condos back up to a large picture window which provides our feline guests with a view of our side yard.
Fully Stocked Pharmacy

We keep most of the medications our patients need on hand at all times. Special formulations can be called in to local pharmacies as needed.
Canine Boarding Area

This is one of our canine boarding runs. Our doggy guests are taken outside on walks two to three times daily.
Treatment Area

Dental cleanings and other procedures are performed by our trained Veterinary Technicians and Vets in this area of the hospital.
Surgery Suite
